Mary Jane Boyer, 94 of Pleasantville, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the Pickering House. Mary Jane was born on March 20, 1923 in Lancaster, OH to the late William and Edna Hartman. She was married to the love of her life, Emerson Boyer on November 25, 1945. Mary Jane was a member of the Zeigler Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was an excellent cook and really enjoyed preparing food for and spending time with loved ones.

Mary Jane Boyer, 94 of Pleasantville, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the Pickering House. Mary Jane was born on March 20, 1923 in Lancaster, OH to the late William and Edna Hartman. She was married to the love of her life, Emerson Boyer on November 25, 1945. Mary Jane was a member of the Zeigler Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Mary Jane is survived by her children: Paul (Linda) Boyer of Blacklick, Debbie Moyer of Bremen, and Ken (Debbie) Boyer of Pleasantville; sister, Karen Purcell, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Amy Boyer, Jeff (Lindsey) Moyer, David (Courtney) Boyer, and Eric (Ashley) Boyer; as well as great-grandchild, Ollie Moyer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Boyer; sisters, Ina Mae Harmon, Marty Webb; brother, Bill Hartman; grandson, Todd Boyer; and son in law, Richard Moyer.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lisa Coe and the McCafferty Family for their loving care of mom.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11AM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Ron Murdock officiating. Friends may call on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 4-7PM at the funeral home, as well as ONE HOUR PRIOR to the service on Monday. Burial is to take place at Forest Rose Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Jane's memory to the Zeigler Emmanuel Lutheran Church (4003 Tschopp Rd NE, Lancaster, OH 43130).
